Our project

Kim and Conrad purchased Conrad’s “happy place”. He used to live in the home years ago. It had a lot of stories, including a newspaper clipping found in the attic of the day Abraham Lincoln was shot.

The Portland remodeling company didn’t change much to the outside of the home because of the restrictions made by the historical society. The original kitchen was modernized with “historic” touches. The range was built to look old with a fake vent. The kitchen remodelers took this Portland home’s original sink and built a cabinet around it. Even the clawfoot tub is original to the house, but was cleaned up by Ziebart’s remodeling contractors.

One of the most unique things about this historic home is that the beam still has the old nails and hand-hewn cut marks in it. One of the best things this construction remodeling team did is restore and rebuild the original features of the home and worked with the homeowners to keep the original feel of the home.
